HAITI RELIEF: In a called Administrative Board meeting on Jan. 24, the SUMC voted to provide 40 Health Kits (1 per family) for Haiti Relief and send a donation to UMCOR Advance #418325.  If you wish to make a personal donation, make check to SUMC and under for List Haiti Relief Advance.

PRAYER MEETING:  Sunday, February 14 at 8:15 a.m. – before worship services.  We have just finished a series of Sunday school lessons on prayer and here is our chance to come together to unite in prayer!

 

As an outgrowth of the HEALTHY CONGREGATION WORKSHOP held on Jan. 10, Pastor Reba has requested that Frank Stegall share his thoughts during the worship service on Feb. 21 on the portion of the workshop he attended.

 

“GREEN CHALLENGE” – During 2009, Jane Neill, Stewardship Chairman, provided us with a monthly Green Tip.  As a follow-up for 2010 she is issuing us a monthly “Green Challenge”.  A Green Challenge calls for some action on our part to start making some changes that will benefit our environment now and in the future. For January it was to visit and take something to recycle at the Moundville Recycling trailer located next to Moundville Town Hall. They accept newspapers, magazines, plastic bottles #1 & #2 and aluminum cans.

She had Mayor Joshua Wyatt speak to us about this at our 5^th Sunday night fellowship supper.

              The Challenge for February is: Insulate wall electrical outlets, particularly those outlets located on outside walls.

 

THE SEEKERS BIBLE STUDY GROUP will meet on Thursdays, February 4 & 18 at 9:15 a.m. Sherrell Rucker will lead Lesson 2 on Spiritual Warfare on the 4^th with leader for the 18^th to be named.
